18 months ago I had the privilege of leading worship at the Good Shepherd Methodist Church Asebu near Cape Coast. I was also the guest preacher and speaker for the Moree Methodist Circuit Camp Meeting. This was an amazing experience giving an insight into the vibrancy of the church and the many real issues that face these wonderful disciples of Jesus. Concerns about young people moving to the cities and being lost to church life. The need for education and employment. The need to still have access to clean water and a consistent supply of electricity. The hospitality and its generosity was at times overwhelming. Since my return I have been helping the church at Asebu by advocating its work and raising funds for its new church building. The basement is now complete and work continues and fund raising continues. I will be taking funds to continue the work when I return at the beginning of May.
