I watched as three children who would have been in school in the UK played on this building site. One boy taking apart what looked like a old phone and with great pride obtained the glass front. At least they had flip flops on as they moved around, swung off roofs. Health and Safety on a work site is interesting here!
Many children along the coast here do not go to school. Life opportunities then don't exist and a cycle of poverty remains.
The country is facing a crisis with its energy supply. Even to the untrained eye its clear someone has not paid someone and so power production is down. Will elections in November change the situation?one can only hope and pray that it does. The people of Ghana deserve better when you see how each day is a struggle to survive and retain their dignity.
