Praying in the early morning

Revd! Came the shout down the corridor. We are going to pray with people. So at 5am barely awake we drive from place to place in the village finding  at each spot a group of church members who had gathered to pray. Our presence was partly to check they were all up praying, partly to encourage them and to pray with them. So we went from group to group and I prayed for them, the folk I had led in worship on Sunday now at their homes. It was amazing enough to see their commitment to be up to pray, but  what of course  really struck me was the living conditions of their homes. We walked by the village rubbish dump, also used by many as a toilet, with animals running around, birds picking up what they could. No photos of all this too dark but more importantly too intrusive perhaps later I will take a walk amongst the homes. Then like a light bulb switching on it was daylight, and as the sun began to spread its light the air began to fill with warmth and the heat builds up.
I need my breakfast! And a cup of tea.

'Oh Revd I want you to take a session with my evangelists on church planting.' Lovely to be given an hours notice So a few quick notes and I find myself in midst of a day's seminar for the diocese evangelists . A real challenge  but they interacted with me and now I find myself needing to send them materials when I get home. However this is part of belonging to one church  which supports each   other.  And I am learning a lot and it's reminding me of where I should be putting my energies.
